Summer internship advice
I recently decided I wanted to pursue a career as an actuary at the beginning of the summer. I just passed exam FM last week and I am sitting for P on September 25th. I am confident I will pass P because I have taken multiple probability courses in college. I am also out of summer classes next week so I will have a month to do nothing but Adapt exams.
My question is whether or not I should hold off on applying to internships for next summer until after I pass exam P. I know that companies have already started looking for interns so I will be slightly behind if I wait until the end of September. I was just wondering if you guys thought I would have a better shot at getting a good internship with 2 exams starting to apply in six weeks, or one exam and starting to apply now. Thanks!
