Is drumming fun to do on your own?

Hi drummers!

I really want to pick up drumming, drums are by far my favorite instrument, but I don't think I'll be able to play in a band. What are your experiences with drumming on your own so far? I've watched videos and it seems really fun to do on your own but I can also imagine it getting boring if you do it alone for extended periods of time, so I'd like some insight on it. :)
