The Year Ahead: What Other Fanbases Think of the 2017 Buffalo Bills

I went through the Offseason Review series over on r/NFL, and looked at what all our 2017 opponents are predicting for their games against us. Here's the list:

WeekOpponentPredictionWhat they're saying
1NYJ WThis game could potentially be Hack's first NFL start, prompting all fans to call him a bust in his first loss
2CAR likely lossOur first home game of the year has us taking on the Bills in the McDermott revenge game. I think we’re the more talented team here and we should take it at home.
3DEN W, 24-13This is the kind of the game a team with a lot of veterans should win. The Bills have struggled and have a rookie coach. However, the Broncos also have a rookie coach and Buffalo is always a tough environment to play in. The Bills, like the Cowboys, have a great run game with a nice line and a fantastic back in LeSean McCoy. The Bills, however, don’t have a real receiving threat but do have an underrated QB in Tyrod Taylor (even if the Bills don’t like him). The Bills defense has struggled recently, but between the east coast trip and it being the first game on the road of the season, the Broncos offense will struggle to perform.
4ATL LI'm glad this will be a fall game in sunny Atlanta, rather than a freezing cold game in the north east late in the season. If we can take an early lead here and force Buffalo to use their passing game more (limiting Shady's qualities), this should probably be a win.
5CIN 70% LI think we have a more complete team than the Bills.
7TB L, 13-31After a three game slide, Bucs get a much needed victory on the road against the Bills. This is a game I could see the Bucs taking over both offensively and defensively.
8OAK LWhy we Win: The Raiders get a couple of extra days to head East and prepare for a new head coach in Sean McDermott and an underrated draft. The Raiders moved the ball a lot better once Marcell Dareus went down in their last matchup, but I still see this being a decent, if long, day for the Raiders' offense. I see the passing game as getting more than the rushing with how strong the Bills are along the DL, forcing them to get away from their strength of rushing and instead relying on unproven receivers. Why we Lose: If the Bills get ahead early, they are built to hold onto a win, especially with Lesean McCoy and the rushing offense and a potentially-suffocating DL. Their draft class is one of my personal favorites and has the potential for a lot of contributors on both sides of the ball, and with a new coaching staff, this could look like a completely different team than the ones the Raiders eventually overpowered in 2016. Also, Andre Holmes is probably gonna go off and make Raiders fans sad.
9NYJ LThis marks the last divisional win for the Jets this year
10NO W, 31-14The Saints go into a cold Buffalo in November to face a McDermott coached team with a McDermott coached defense. Outlook not so good
11SD W, 24-17Coach Lynn faces his former team in this Week 11 matchup where the run game is really gonna matter. The Buffalo defensive front played very well last season and I'd imagine the Bills players have seen Lynn's gameplans enough to know what kind of game he brings. The Buffalo defensive front is far more proven than the Chargers OL, so I'm going to give the Bills the benefit of the doubt.
12KC L, 16-17This game will be the 9th time the Chiefs and Bills have played each other in the last 10 years. The Chiefs have gotten the better of the Bills in each of the three match-ups in the Andy Reid era and that will continue this season. The Bills offense is one of the best in the league running the ball with Lesean McCoy and Tyrod Taylor. They should be a fun team to watch next season but their defense looks to have gotten worse in my eyes and I’m not sure I trust their passing offense enough to give them the win in this game.

14IND L, 17-22Last time we played the Bills had all the answers to our offense and we never could get going. I don't see that happening again and our defense is also stronger this time around.
15MIA LI have a lot less faith in Buffalo than most. I think they have a mediocre coach, an inconsistent QB, a strong run game, and an average defense. These do not add up well for Buffalo. Once again, any given Sunday, but I think the Bills will be outcoached, out ran, and out gunned at home.

17MIA LLast game of the year against a division rival. Oh boy, this will be fun. As I said earlier, I don't have a ton of faith in the Bills. Are they better than the Jets? Of course. Does that mean anything? Of course not. They have a similar schedule to us, but I just don't see them as having a competing year, and thus will be looking to play spoiler. However, vengeance is not a great motivator. I think this will be a bit more lopsided than the previous match up, and the Dolphins will walk out 10-6, hoping to secure a play off berth

Overall predicted record: 4-10 (Patriots reviewer did not write schedule predictions)
