Are there any missables in Yakuza 0?

I basically ran through the story and only did the side stuff as they jumped in front of me. I never made much of an effort to explore too much or do any of those crazy career things.

So now that the game is over, and I can run around, did I miss anything? Or am I still able to do everything from this point?

Also, what's the point of new game plus?
