[GEAR] NGD - Hagstrom Viking Deluxe. First electric guitar I've owned since I was 15.

GEAR

I've been eyeballing a new (to me) electric for a little while now, having recently picked up my acoustic again and started a serious practice regimen. While the temptation has been there to just up and buy one, I could not quite justify the expense until I felt like it would actually benefit my playing ability.

Sometimes, however, the stars just line up...

A buddy of mine is moving out-of-state and was looking to thin the herd in terms of his belongings... Player Hagstrom has entered the game.

Needed a serious dusting and a string replacement (these were still the original factory strings from ~5-6 years ago), but she's (he's?) looking good as new after a bit of TLC.

All told, this ax was re-homed for $300, and I couldn't be happier about it.

Before cleaning.

After a string removal, a good wipe-down, and some lemon oil on the fretboard.

Good as new!

This usually isn't my style of guitar, but I really do love the looks of this thing.

Bonus picture of a show I was at a couple of nights ago.

Cheers!
