Best location for hostels ?

I am visiting Mexico City from Oct 27 to Nov 2. Searched this subreddit and saw Condesa as a recommended neighborhood. A lot of the recommended hostels were near Zocalo square. Is that part of Condesa and nearby all bars, nightlife ?. Or should I look more towards Parque Mexico ?.

Any hostel recommendations welcome :)
