How can I initiate meeting my trans neighbor without it being weird?

Question is in the title. I moved into a really awesome apartment building about 3 months ago, and just last week have I begun to realize I'm a trans guy. I'm slowly trying to figure things out with myself but yesterday while walking into the building I saw the flag in someone's basement apartment window that's been there since I moved in but I never acknowledged before. It's the pink, blue, and white striped flag and I thought I'd seen in on one of the subreddits so I checked it out and sure enough, trans flag. Now I'd love to meet this person and maybe even make a friend, but I don't want to be weird or make them uncomfortable like they're the token trans or something. Obviously they aren't super secretive if they've got a flag in their window though. But I'm really just curious if I might be able to find someone to talk to irl since I haven't taken this to any of my friends yet. Advice?
