Had someone call the Switch the "New Wii"

In a discussion about game consoles with some coworkers, I was talking about having a Switch. Another coworker was walking past and asked us what we were talking about. I said Nintendo Switch, she had no idea what it was. Then one of the others said, "Its basically the new Wii" and she immediately understood.

It's interesting to think that Nintendo will never quite be able to move away from the Wii branding, even though their new console is completely void of it. What do you guys think?

EDIT: I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's just interesting to me that calling it a Wii will make tons of out-of-the-loop people immediately pick up on what it is.
