Solar eclipse, or is my cat just being weird?

My senior cat (~13 years old) has always been very docile and quiet. For the past 3 nights, she has been meowing loudly and frequently to the point where I can't sleep. She typically doesn't want to sleep with me at night; now she yells at my bedroom door if it's closed and will randomly snuggle up to me for a bit before resuming her weird pacing and meowing. I could try to give specific details on her behavior, but I've been in a sleepy fog. All I know is that she's far more vocal and anxious than I've ever seen her before. During the day she's pretty much her normal self, except she spends a lot more time in my bed. My mom thinks the upcoming eclipse is affecting her. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
