Internet through Bluetooth?

So I just got a 2016 pilot touring (Canadian so there is no elite) and I want to load Waze and or Google maps on the head unit. I really prefer the Google maps traffic to Waze but I will work that out later.

Regardless of which one I run, I will need internet connectivity to get realtime traffic information. I can get an internet connection if I tether my phone then I get internet connection but turning hotspot on and off is a pain in the butt. Will the pilot have access to the internet through the Bluetooth connection or am I stuck with manually tethering the phone every time I want to use 3rd party navigation with traffic?
