[COD] Best boots on the ground CoD to play, to prep for upcoming CoD:WWII?

Wondering if I should buy Ghosts again, play World at War maybe...or something else. Just want to get a feel for boots on the ground on PS4/Xbox One OR get a feel for how WWII weapons will be since the new game won't feature "modern" weapons.
