How does your keeper league with multiple keepers work?

Hi guys,

I have only played in a league where you can choose 1 keeper. In this league, you lose your draft pick in the round that your keeper was selected in the prior year (or your 12th round pick if you claimed keeper off waivers). So if I keep my 5th round pick from last year, I do not get a 5th round pick this year. I am not turning a league that I am commissioner into a keeper league with 2 keepers. I was going to set it up the same way so that you lose that round draft pick until I realized that if people made trades that they could choose to keep two people that were drafted in the same round. I was curious as to how others handled leagues in which there is more than one keeper. The most common I've heard is to essentially have the keepers be the first 2 rounds and we would start drafting in the 3rd round. I am not too keen on that so I was hoping somebody would be able to help me out/give me some ideas.
