Why Should We Watch the Dallas Mavericks Next Season? (9/30)

Welcome to Day 9! Today we'll discuss the Dallas Mavericks.

1- Was Dennis Smith the steal of the draft?

Clearly a one of a kind athlete, Dennis Smith Jr. proved that his athleticism isn't the only thing that made him everyone's "steal" during the summer league. Character and injury concerns seem to be the only thing in the way between him and a lengthy career.

2- What is Dirk going to give this team?

Coming off of an injury riddled 2016/2017 season, it is fair to wonder how much Dirk has left in the tank. Can he be a reliable rotation piece going forward?

3- How far along is this rebuild?

Harrison Barnes appears to be a smart signing one year later, and the Mavericks did an exceptional job unearthing Seth Curry, Yogi Ferrell and Dorian Finney Smith last year. With Dennis Smith in the fold, this year will be a good chance to get a glimpse at what the ceiling is for this young core.
