Casual matching "fix" made it much worse

Ranked has became the new casual ever since Ubi tried to implement a ranking system. I'm only Gold 1 but every game I'm put against full teams of Platinums and Diamonds. I thought the point of the casual fix was so that top ranks wouldn't be steamrolling everyone they played against, not make it worse. It has also made casual more toxic as a whole as it's now a place for diamond smurfs and top ranks to teamkill when they aren't in ranked. I used to be 100% for this system but all it's achieved for me was to make what I complained about before (playing against high ranks) even more prevalent. Does anyone else feel this way?
