I have a contact for a company team I want to work for with a job opening, but I didn't have the best first impression...

Three years ago, I applied to a job at a company and received a phone interview.

EVERYTHING went wrong in that interview. I totally forgot about it, missed the call, called back late, didn't do research because I forgot, and looked like a complete idiot. Very out of character of me but accepted my fate.

There's an opening for a senior job on the same team that just opened up that I really want and think I could be a great fit for. I still have the manager's email and contact. Is it worth contacting her (and somehow persuade her I'm not a fool) or should I just stay silent and hope they contact me? Thanks for reading.
