Wifi connection unstable and frustrating

On my phone, I calculated my download speed, at its always 110+ MBPS. But on the PlayStation, which sits right next to the fiber box, has a really unstable connection. One minutes it's at 3 Mbps, then suddenly 30... it makes competitive games impossible to play because of the lag and unstableness. Anyone has a fix to this issue?
