ELI5: Why do some pimples/blackheads bleed when you pop them, and others don't?

I thought pimples and blackheads were blocked pores. I didn't think pores had blood running through them - I thought the veins were "under" the pores, so to speak. So where does the blood come from? And why do some pimples/blackheads bleed but others do not?
