Looking for general advices

Discussion

Hi,

Most importantly, thank you very much for taking your time to help me and sharing your opinion.

I love spending useful time on computers. It's an anti-stress. I'm looking to have some fun with my wannabe homelab and I'm looking for general advices here.

I'm a web dev. I have several VPS around the work a few dedicated servers, mainly for hosting.

Here's what I intend to run on my Homelab :

  • XProtect on Windows (already running on the garage's PC)
  • pi-hole (already running on my Pi2)
  • pfsense (I'm not sure I need that, if you could advise me on this that'd be great)
  • deluge (already running on my non-used gaming PC)
  • plex (already running on my non-used gaming PC)
  • Sonarr / Radar (seems pretty useful)
  • Plug my 2x1 TB enclosure and share it with my gigabit network
  • Docker (could be useful for creating WordPress container and stuff like that)
  • SSH Jumpbox (that one will be very useful)

So basically,

  • I want to watch/record my IP cameras
  • I want to download my tv shows / movies & seed them
  • Of something could automatically download my tv shows / movies it'd be really cool, but not necessary
  • I want my RAID enclosure to be plugged on something, my IP cameras recording will go there.
  • I'd like to have docker to play with
  • Proxmox could be nice too, but I think docker would be more enjoyable in my limited free time

Here's my hardware for now :

  • HP DL360 G6 2x QC E5640 2.66Ghz 48GB 4x 146GB 10K.
    • I don't want to use it anymore. Bought it a few weeks ago, I didn't like the noise / heat, so I decided to only buy low voltage stuff, ideally passively cooled. I also prefer to have multiple small PCs than one bug PC with everything shutting down if I move it. I decided to sell this server.
  • Qotom Q1900G4-M. Celeron J1900, 8GB ram, 128GB SSD, 4x gigabit NIC
    • Just received it today. I wanted to use it for pfsense but I'm wondering if I'll ever use pfsense so...
  • 1x rPi2 running pi-hole

Hardware on its way:

  • 2x Orange Pi Zero (H2 Cortex-A7 Quad 1.2GHz, 512MB ram, 100M ethernet)
  • 1x Orange Pi PC (H3 Cortex-A7 Quad 1.6 GHz, 1GB ram, 100M ethernet)
  • 1x Orange Pi Plus 2E (H3 Cortex-A7 Quad 1.6 GHz, 2GB ram, 16GB flash, Gigabit ethernet)

Do you think I could run all my intended software with my hardwares? What software would you put on what hardware?

Please let me know if you need more details.
