The one feature I want more than anything else (that's not related to the game directly)

I would love a director mode, similar to the one used in Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous. I know with photo mode we can pause the game and move the camera around to take footage but it's just not enough.

I would love to be able to move the camera around like the photo-mode and then record footage. Even on ground level it would work great for filming the worlds you visit. I feel like content creation in the community would spike. Just imagine making time lapses with your ship in the background? God, please HG, do this one day.
