GRRM's homage to Robert Jordan

In ASOIAF there is a house in Dorne called House Jordayne, which rules in the Tor, named after the WoT publisher. The lord of the House is called Trebor, Robert backwards. Their sigil is a golden quill, to indicate that Martin sees Jordan as the true master.

There's so much in ASOIAF that is inspired by WoT that I think all ASOIAF readers such as myself owe it to Jordan to read the Wheel of Time since without WoT it's likely ASOIAF wouldn't exist, or not in the same form.

I'm sure there are many of us who read ASOIAF first and then WoT, in my opinion along with LOTR the three must-read fantasy series.
