Necrotic Geist bug?

This happened in Arena. Where my opponent had a necrotic Geist (if a friendly Minion dies summon a 2/2 ghoul) he then got a redemption (revive a Minion but with 1 health) secret. After a turn he had the Geist, 2 ghouls and 2 silver hand recruits. The I then glyphed into Flamestrike, I wipe the board... the secret pops bringing back the Necrotic Geist which them activates giving the opponent 5 ghouls.

Feels like it shouldn't resolve that way.
