Chased/Stalked by Guy on a Foot Scooter on Long Run
I was doing my long run yesterday and went past a semi-sketch house with like 50 bicycles on the yard "for sale" on my route. This euro-trash looking middle aged guy darts out on a foot scooter about 15m ahead of me and starts pedalling away.
Now, I'm not that fast, but I'm definitely faster than a dinky scooter. I get ahead of him and quickly realize that he's trying to catch up with me. I don't mind being a pace bunny sometimes, but this guy followed me for over 2km on a damn scooter and even crossed the street at the same point that I did even though he was blocks behind me.
There's a way point that I take that has an insanely long traffic light across a busy road to double back, so when I passed him on the opposite side of the busy road, I definitely noticed that he looked like he was caught red handed.
I don't know what his true intentions were, but as a female running alone, he definitely gave me the feeling of being chased/stalked from a distance.
Luckily, I don't think it'll happen again since I was running at a weird time in the afternoon and there was a huge festival going on nearby that tends to attract sketchy characters, but I don't know what else I can do except run faster if it happens again.
Just wanted to rant and maybe hear some feedback/recommendations of what to do with creepos.
