Completely annihilated by FL 1
Hey guys. I just finished FL 2 and I completely bombed it. I got a 503 (127,123,126,127). I did fairly decent on the sample (75% average probably because of a 83% on CARS) so I thought I was doing fine. I write my exam on 9/1. Obviously I've got to go ham on CARS in the coming weeks in an attempt to save that score. But I have never encountered so many tough passages on on MCAT till I did today. For those that have taken the MCAT is FL 1 indicative of the difficulty of CARS? I just found myself not grasping the passage which happens maybe once per 10 passages on the Q-Packs (apart from Q-pack 1 part 1) but today I don't know what was going on. On the Q-Pack i was averaging like 70-75% or so. I just have no idea how this happened.
Also, my other sub scores seem fairly stagnant. I am aiming for a 510 so I need somewhere between 127-128 on the sections. My PS has been completely stagnant for the past 5 practice tests (127 on NS 1-3, Sample, and no FL1). Does anyone have any idea how I can break this barrier? Also, my BB is a bit low does anyone have any type of helpful advice to bring this up? I got a 70% on the sample and then 126 here so I figure that it is stagnant. Before this test I brushed up on all my lacking content for the most part so I was really sad to see I didn't go anywhere. How should I practice passages this late into the game? Should I venture back out into 3rd party material?
Finally, does anyone have any tips/thoughts on my situation? I've been studying all summer for 10 hours a day roughly (some days better than others obviously) and I am extremely sad to see that my score is nowhere near where I want it to be. If anyone has any tips on getting this score up in the next 2 weeks or so I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for the help.
