Playing Smite like it's PvP

Hello all, I would just like to know why Smite has not made a god vs god playlist. A legitimate battle arena where no towers or minions are involved. It seems to me that is the only real motive players have when I'm on... instead of poking and playing objective, I'm stuck with players ( mostly randoms; which is my fault ) that will hunt down the red bar players instead of pushing a tower... I think Hi-Rez should stop worrying about sidebar mini games, and make a regular PvP list. It just makes sense to me. Am I wrong?
