Should I see The Dark Tower, even though I still haven't read any of the books?

I know the reviews are awful, and I still have the first book on my to read list (after I finish IT and Call Me By Your Name), but I work at the theater and don't have to pay for it, and I've got no other plans today.

Or is it really not worth seeing/could potentially dirty my reading of the novel?
