So I recently built a new computer for myself, however I've been putting off buying a GPU since the prices are currently outlandish. I did however have an old EVGA GeForce 560 Ti that I took out of an old computer and am using as a placeholder so I can still use the computer.

However, I've been having my computer either freeze up with no warming or crash to a BSOD with CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT as the error message. There doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern with the crashes, they've come when I'm attempting to install drivers, format a HDD/SDD, or simply moving my mouse. I've done some troubleshooting, but I'm starting to get out of my depth.

So far I've updated all drivers to their most current versions, updated my BIOS, made sure all overclocking and XMP profiles are turned off, and ran memtest86+ with no errors after ~9 passes. I'm unsure if having an outdated GPU can cause CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT, however if it can I'd be happy knowing so. If it's unlikely that that's the issue, any and all help on what to do next would be appreciated. Thanks.
