Question about 0-star route?

To my knowledge, the route followed for the 0-star (any%) wr goes lblj, BITFS, upstairs blj, endless blj, done. But if the blj can be abused to clip through doors, could one not blj up the center staircase in the lobby to clip through the door to the upstairs? I don't have a N64 with me, nor am I very rehearsed in bljs, so I can't really investigate myself. Does anyone have info?
