Pre-need cremation? limited leads provided, 1099 position

No promise of number of leads given. I can do about anything I want that is ethical and legal to drum up my own leads. On target earnings at 20 sales a month -65k, 30 sales a month 105K, nothing out of my pocket but gas, promotional materials provided. Possible target audience may be VFW, American Legion etc., would try to set up booth at every health/senior fair type event possible, Midwest city of around a million. Mix of inhome and in office sales presentations, cubicle in nice 4 salesperson area with conference area provided for my use. Office is very nice, in older upscale area with great address recognition (and only 15 blocks from home). I am seriously thinking about returning to sales after 20 years teaching special education. My wife makes good money and could pick up the slack while my income ramps up, I get my insurance through her work. What am I overlooking?
