A dumb question please. Forgive me and remove if need be. Question about Closed Captioning.

My question is primarily aimed to those who have been deaf/Deaf since birth and who use CC to watch movies. Do the captions that show the little music notes and then say something like ( ominous ) does that help you at all. Or when it says something like "tender" music. Maybe my question is vague, but how do you describe a mood of music to somebody who hasn't heard it? I'll apologize now if my question is inappropriate and ask to be corrected. Thanks for any and all responses, even if I need to be put in my place.
