Loving this game, but does anyone feel like the on-foot camera needs work?

I love all the work Hello Games has put in after all this time, but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed about the on foot camera. I don't know about anyone else but on ps4, it always felt heavy and inconsistent to me. I've tried to remedy that by adjusting the sensitivity, but even now, with all the updates it still feels "off". This isn't saying that the game is completely unplayable, I get used to it after 10 minutes of use, but it's when I return to play it again when I feel that 'lagginess'.

I've never had a PC before, but I think options like mouse acceleration or something could benefit this game if they implemented it. What do you guys think? Am I alone in thinking this?
