1995 Ford Econoline E350 7.3L V8 Turbo Diesel Ambulance
Hi there,
I purchased the ambulance years ago and had intended to turn it into a mobile coffee shop. That dream hasn't totally died, but I haven't been able to set aside the money required to get that project complete. Now I aim to make it a mini house on wheels for traveling in comfort.
I would really like to learn how to mechanically work on the vehicle as well as taking any advice on the home build. I have tools and experience from working on houses, but this will be the first vehicle I've done more than an oil change with.
I've been told this would be a great candidate for a vegetable oil powered vehicle and absolutely love to put a veggie oil processing system on-board.
Thinking there is a lot of real estate on top for a few flexible solar panels and plenty of suspension to handle the weight of a good sized battery bank.
I'm hoping to get some advice or a good resource for information on getting it in top performance. It runs great now, but I would like to learn each system on the vehicle in order to feel comfortable working on it on the road.
I haven't decided a layout for the home build yet and would love to hear some feedback or favorite builds you've seen or key factors to consider.
Thank you for reading and I will answer any response as soon as possible.
