Feel like im doing something wrong
I don't know if im doing something wrong with losing weight. I have read the guides here and other peoples success but it feels like im just doing something wrong that i am probably not aware of. My stats are 24M/183CM/190KG which puts my TDEE at 3700cal~.
I run a 1000 cal deficit usually but also tried being more aggressive which hasn't helped much if at all. I am losing weight at only a rate of 2kg~ a month. July was about 2.5kg and now half way into August down 1.9kg since the start (logging these with Libra app). With weighing and logging my food (using mfp AND cross checking calories with google to see im not getting wrong info), i should be losing much more than this. I tried going down even more to eating 2300cal a day which is a 1400 cal deficit. Still trucking along slowly. Hell why not 2000 calories i thought which is what i started with on first day of August. That is a 1700 calorie deficit!! Still, weight loss is slow :(
I'm thinking maybe i have to do the old style of losing weight where people eat only 1500 calories a day and exercise vigorously everyday and run myself into the ground. It feels too good to be true that, with proper planning, i can fit junk food into my allowance every day and still lose weight, or even large portions of healthy food. Which i have tried doing both, and also not doing either and still does not seem to help.
Also i have been trying some maintenance days here and there to try and "reset cortisol levels". It comes up here every now and then that re feed days help. It's just... i dunno. Should i accept this the way it is now? Like whats going to happen when i get closer to my goal weight. Are things just going come to a grinding halt and i will never reach it? If im losing weight slowly now with this body, i don't want to imagine how difficult im going to have it later on. Well anyway thanks for listening.
