An epiphany I've had about nosurf
I was watching a youtube video when the guy I was watching said that the best shape he had ever been in was when he had been chosen for a big roll in a movie. He then said that he had gone about it in completely the wrong way because he had stopped eating altogether and felt so ill and sapped of energy at that point in his life. He said that he had decided to start doing things legitimately by cutting down on junk foods and eating healthier. This morning I saw a post about a guy who had completely disconnected from the internet for a year but was still unhappy because it didn't solve all of the problems in his life like he thought it would have, and he was now so disconnected from society that going on the internet gave him extreme anxiety.
I have tried nosurf and relapsed and recently I have been considering completely cutting out screen time besides for studying and schoolwork, thinking that it would increase my attention span and I would spend every second of the day being productive and then when I decided to come back to the internet I would be a completely new person and wouldn't even dream of going back to the internet. But then I realized if you want a skinnier body and a healthier diet you don't starve yourself and then tell yourself you will start eating healthier when you start eating again. You start eating less crappy foods, start implementing healthier foods into your diet and start exercising.
When you look through the sub there are rarely ever any success stories and I think that is because of the all or nothing mentality that everyone continues to spread around, which is unsustainable and completely unrealistic in todays society.
