Is this white tissue or a root tip?

Hello,

Like a month ago I removed what was left from a tooth, it's a bottom tooth...

It was all okay until lately it started hurting me really bad, I feel a white solid in its place, I thinking it's a root tip but I saw some posts say it can be white tissue.

When I touch it and kind of move it I feel like it's deep inside and part of something bigger...

Which one it is? and any advice to how to stop the pain?
