Can we choose our Houses?

I know we have pottermore and all, and the analysis's of the sorting and versions with all questions. I know it's fiction, but I really have this obsession with knowing what my true houses are. And I know no matter how much someone knows me, only I know my true capabilities, strengths and weaknesses. So do I just choose to end the madness, or do I go with my first pottermore results, or my most frequent? I just don't know. Would love to hear the opinions of others. Thanks a bunch.
