If you don't like the content of the sub

PSA

I've been a member of this sub since it's inception, and a mod for most of that. Here's my advice if you don't enjoy the content at any point.

  • Know it's cyclical. July/Aug/Sept are giveaway months. Sept/Oct are "who should I get" months. etc.
  • If you bitch about lack of quality content, you damn well better be someone who submits quality content. If you're not trying to make the sub what you want to see BUT you still complain....come on.
  • What new in depth content did you expect to see < 30 days until the next iteration of the game comes out?
  • Take a break, join some other subs. May I recommend r/babyelephantgifs/ (sample) & r/IdiotsFightingThings (sample) ? You can't expect a sub devoted to one mode of a niche sports game to fill that void in your life. Gifs help. Check out r/hockey, or a sub devoted to your favorite team... which ought to be r/AnaheimDucks.
  • Upvote/Downvote. Quality content not sticking to the front page? Upvote. Think something doesn't contribute to the discussion/community? Downvote. You'd be amazed at how far a simple upvote can go in a sub that doesn't vote much.
  • See content that violates a rule such as low effort or off topic? Hit the report button so the mods see it faster and can remove it if it violates a rule.

I can understand why someone may get frustrated at the state of the sub's daily posts at various points, but if you're not taking the steps available to you in order to fix that I have zero sympathy and neither should anyone else. There is just no excuse for treating other people poorly because something failed to entertain you
