(Discussion) can the solar eclipse really damage your eyes or is that disnifo?
Is it just fear mongering? Surely two hundred years ago there were no eclipse viewing glasses.
The sun is constantly sending us info via the photons it emits which corrects our circadian rythms and regulates hormone production, like melatonin. In the book Light: the future of medicine, the author discusses how important morning sun light is to get on your skin and into your retina. The ancients used helio therapy to heal and built temples to break the spectrum of light from the sun and use it to their advantage. Infrared light therapy is used to heal - red lamps and infrared suanas, red laser therapy, etc.
Basically we are light and all our food comes from the sun in a round about way. Eating anything that gives you sustenance is light when you break it down all the way. After doing the research I understand and now believe in the validity of sun gazing.
What do you think in regards to checking out the eclipse with the naked eye?
Keep getting that sun and vitamin D for optimal functioning!
