Any movie buffs here who were able to enjoy The Founder (2016) despite being vegan?
So I am obsessed with both Michael Keaton and biopics, so I've been really tempted to watch The Founder. But being a vegan, I'm nervous I'm just going to feel dirty the whole time because of how much it conflicts with my beliefs. That being said, I generally don't want to avoid a work of art just because I disagree with it. I love movies for many reasons.
Have any of you seen it? Were you able to enjoy and look past the importance of animal products in it? If it's somewhat like The Social Network, and focuses more on an interesting story moreso than glorifying the business, I think I could put my bias aside and enjoy it purely from an artistic perspective.
And before anyone asks: I have no intention to buy this film. I don't want my money going to McDonald's if they're getting royalties for it or anything.
