Is China's government more effective at getting things done than U.S?

I'm secretly beginning to like authoritarianism. Here in America, our government can't get anything done due to strict rigid partisan lines. If we wanted to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure, we'd have to go through a massive bureaucracy, go through congress, and all these environmental regulation. In China, it's like, here's the money, go Make China Great Again. Opposition? Bad media? Don't worry, you'll never see them again.
