How to parse in game alerts for personal tracking app

I'm a fan of the game warframe and want to make an app that tracks for when certain items go on an alert (limited time event). There are other websites such as dethsnacks that are able to find this information. I've tried googling this information to no avail. There are other games that use this method of alert system, does anyone have any experience? All help is appreciated.
