Barrel drop is broken?

One with parachute, my sibling showed me the game and I loved it, been playing it whole day today, im top 30 thieves in new season but I found a glitch

Since I dont have any rly good stuff I use that barrel drop for whoever gets to it first, I noticed that A LOT of the times when I use it and someone other than me picks it up they glitch out or smthn... how I know? Cos they dont move... they stand behinde the cover in barrel till cops come... it happens way to often cos I noticed it at least 10 times ( that means 10 times 3 players including me got to the van but that one guy was in barrel afk...).

I belive it glitches people out , like connection issue or smthn... dunno, but as I said, happened too often to be coincidence
