Peep Show - One of the Best Shows to Capture the Feeling of Reading

The way Peep Show was filmed and also how well it was written, I've always felt that it was one of the few visual mediums (as in television or film) that properly translates the feeling of reading to television.

There's something about reading, where the reader can more fully enter into the protagonists mind due to being able to read the protagonist's thoughts, as well the very descriptive nature of novels, that really adds a layer of depth that is often difficult to translate into television or film.

However, Peep Show is one of the few shows that really seems to capture the essence of reading and it translates very well. I know the show is a comedy, but whenever I watch I always feel like I'm vicariously living these moments through the main characters and not just a spectator on in the crowd. I believe this is one of the reasons I really enjoyed the show as it was able to draw me in, in a way most shows can not.
