Is it worth it for me to upgrade to a 4690k?

Right now I have a z87-a motherboard with and i3 4160, 2x4 8gb ddr3, with a gtx 770 4gb. Would it be worth it for me to grab a 4690k rather than upgrade to skylake 6600k and having to purchase a new motherboard and ddr4 ram along with it? mainly gaming at 1080p 60 hz but have been noticing less than satisfactory performance in newer games.
