New furnace and house resale; hail damage question

Wife and I are looking to sell the house next summer. Recently we had a hail storm and got new roof/gutters/AC condenser/Coil. Today the HVAC guy was out and said we could replace our furnace while they are out for around 2800 and get an efficiency blower motor etc. My question is would I recoup the money spent on a furnace when It comes time to sell? Current furnace is from 1989 and in good working order but a potential buyer might want a newer furnace? Is it more beneficial to keep that money towards a down on a new house?
