What the Mormon Church does to the History is the Same as Tearing Down Monuments

Regarding all the recent racial and political hatred in Virginia, Condoleeza Rice had this to say:

"I am a firm believer in keep your history before you. And so I don't actually want to rename things that were named for slave owners. I want us to have to look at those names and recognize what they did, and be able to tell our kids what they did and for them to have a sense of their own history. When you start wiping out your history, sanitizing your history to make you feel better, it's a bad thing."

TSCC is essentially doing the same thing as the people who want to remove the statues in the South. By removing the reminders of what happened in the past in order to make it "faith-promoting" or "positive," we lose that true history. By learning and sharing the truth, we can help the forgotten ones, such as polygamous wives, who were the greatest victims, to have their legacy and story live on, even though TSCC wants to sanitize them out of history.
