First time goalie, what should I pay special attention to?

I have a buddy loaning me his gear (We are the same build) and I'll be playing goalie in a class for skaters learning to play. This will be my first time on the ice as a goalie. My question is: What should I pay attention to, both gear wise and things I should notice about my playstyle?
