I currently have a fire stick and run into issues when streaming through Kodi (using Exodus in Kodi), should I buy a firetv?

Would a fire tv improve the speeds? Currently have fios 1 gig plan and my wifi speed is at about 280-300 mbps which should be more than enough. Netflix streams perfectly fine, youtube as well, it is only when i try to stream within kodi.

I understand that this streaming through Kodi is pirated stuff and not multi billion dollar companies like netflix and youtube so i came here to get opinions on the topic.

Is it just slow because im streaming directly from a website on the internet technically? Or should I just get the firetv and do a direct connection (about 950-980 mbps) ? If the direct connection wont make a difference due to the buffering coming from the websites end of things, then i rather not waste the money, all help is appreciated.
