What can be done about the lag/ game speedup that happens right when you kick a FG?

It's obvious people can do it on purpose.

I saw on a forum that you just mash the playstation button when they're about to kick it. That is completely confirmed to work.

Someone pulled that on me with a FG on Xbox One.
