"Villains" feels like a sequel to, or a Disc 2, for "Like Clockwork"... and I love that.

I've always felt that QotSA songs had a very introspective quality to them. They are deep, meaningful, and make me think about how they relate to my personal experiences.

However, Like Clockwork obviously had a very personal quality that expressed what Josh was going through at the time.

Here, four years later, we have the same thing, but it's a little different.

If LC was a hallway, Villains is Josh standing in the doorway the hallway leads to and looking behind him, but also looking forward to the dark room the door opens to. He's fumbling for the light switch, determined to find it. He's out of the funk, but still very close to it. He's about to pass onto that next stage, but everything's still a little shaky and uncertain. There's an apprehensive and uncertain optimism to this album.

It's not just a new album, but an answer to LC. I love the album so much so far, and I feel a deeper connection to it as the next chapter to a story I was already connected to and invested in.

Anyways, that's my feelings so far. Thoughts?
