dim keyboard backlight

hello fellow thinkpad owners,

i own a T470 with the backlit keyboard. it has 2 steps for the backlight, but in my opinion both are most of the time too bright. especially when you dont look on them from the top but from the front. then you just get blinded by the leds which shine from under the keys. this is especially annying. if the monitor is on the darkest step. then the backlight is brighter which kinda sucks.

So my question is: is there a way to dim the keyboard even more? or get more steps in the backlight of the keyboard? Thank you for any help!
